I quite liked the idea of drawing storyboards as it gets your mind's eye focused on angles and perspective; I can draw out what I want it to look like and then in the future I can change it and edit it. I didn't have time to do the whole rough book, but its looking like the book will be about 100 pages long (50 double page spreads) which ,if done correctly and professionally wont look too bad. It will be a thick story book, as opposed to just a few paged picture book. Next step in the FMP is to map out the rest of it and then start character design before going onto the second rough, and then adding colour on the third rough.

Conclusion
I do agree that kids will relate more to the simpler dragons, however I don't think they show my ability in drawing at all. Therefor I will be going back to my idea of doing them huge and magnificent. I will keep the idea of patterns on them as it adds an interesting dimension to the pictures. I will also add the colours and patterns to the background , as they will make the caves look far more interesting that just dull browns. I will come up with my idea for the story next and start mapping out page designs. Hopefully I will have time to do this tonight, before the deadline. I love the Idea of the stars in the background too - it looks spacey and magical. I really hate the character concept art I've done so far.
I originally planned the simple dragons, then progressed to the more intricate ones and now the tutors are saying the simple ones might be more relatable to kids. However I will have to avoid their comments this time and change my ideas back because I am simply not happy with them at the moment. I love the colour scheme and the textures though.

How my pitch went
George and Fumio suggested i stick with the original dragon ideas (The simpler more expressive ones) as they are more relatable to kids ( easier to draw too.)
they suggested using bright vivid colors in the caves instead of the brown and colour's you would expect. To make it really pop as a fantasy world
They wanted to see more interaction between Ben and the dragons and perhaps see the finished dragons colored in. They also wanted to see maybe a story board idea of whats going where- rough sketches to show the character moving throughout the scenes. I also need to hone in on what the boy's final design will be.
So today I will try to get that all done before 10am tommorow!
They also suggested putting patterns on the dragon? not just having them all look the same?
