Today we had to create mood boards for Brewdog Ales. We had to come up with packaging for a guest ale and show our process in a design board. admittedly, ours wasn't the best in the group, not by a long shot, but we worked together as a team, to analyse colors, themes, inspiring pictures and general research. We could have spent a lot more time on our design work rather than the research though. We came up with something different. We knew everyone would base their ale's packaging on Halloween so we went back to the roots of the holiday - which is actually Celtic. So we named our 'ale' after the original name of the holiday - 'Sam Hains' . We incorporated the sexuality of Adam and eve in it, with the apple (which was also a toffee apple/pumpkin) which worked beautifully. Then we chose to do a serpent wrapped around the stick, as if about to bite the apple. If we had had longer it would have probably resulted in a finished amazing piece - but we got stuck too long on the research.
Between you and me, Carly was also getting extremely bossy and stressy which sort of threw us off too.
Below are the photos of our sketches and ideas and design boards. The first one I actually designed with Bryony but the group said it was too cluttered; but I did it like that deliberately to achieve a sort of scrapbook effect. However we settled on the second one after- to show our themes, colors and a little bit about the company. However I think we could have combined the two and it would have shown the class how much we had actually done. Our project was more about the background research than the official finished thing.

Now I am going to do a design board for my FMP
I will present this to Fumio and George to pitch my project
